1. What is Kubb and how is it played? Kubb is a throwing game that combines skill and strategy. The goal is to knock over the wooden blocks (Kubbs) of the opposing team and finally hit the King in the center. The game can be played in teams of 2 to 6 players and is suitable for all ages.
2. Can I participate in the tournament even if I've never played Kubb before? Yes, absolutely! The Auckland Kubb Open is open to everyone – whether you're a beginner or an experienced player. There will be a short introduction to the rules before the tournament, and our team will be available to answer any questions.
3. What do I need to bring? You don’t need to bring anything except a good mood. The Kubb sets will be provided by Backyard GamesNZ. However, comfortable clothing and sun protection are recommended as the tournament takes place outdoors. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks.
4. How can I register, and is there a participation fee? Registration can be done online through our website.

5. Are there prizes to win? Yes! In addition to glory and honor, the winning teams will receive exciting prizes.
6. What is the tournament schedule? The tournament starts at 10:00 AM and is expected to finish around 4:00 PM. The format includes a group stage, followed by knockout matches, leading up to the final.
7. Can I come as a spectator? Absolutely! Spectators are more than welcome to come and watch, cheer for their favorite teams, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Bring along friends or family and experience the fun of Kubb!
